Taffy
The salt crystals can be gathered and used in a variety of ways. Personally, I like salt on my fish and chips, here in the UK!
For each 1000ml (1 litre) you need about 35gms of salt to reach a similar saltiness to sea water. By volume, 35gms is roughly 2 tablespoons (UK).
Taffy is believed to have been invented in the United States. It originated in the late 19th century and became popular in seaside towns along the East Coast, particularly in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The UK sources salt from domestic production as well as imports. The main sources of domestic salt production in the UK include salt mines in Cheshire and Teesside. Additionally, the UK also imports salt from countries like the United States, Canada, and various European countries.

The difference(s) between floods in the UK and Bangladesh are in Bangladesh, the dirty and clean water mixes together and contributes to the formation of diseases in the water. This also happens in the UK; however, the UK can afford to buy clean water for drinking in these cases.

There are two types of salt based pool chlorinators. More expensive and less common are those with a separate salt tank and these will normally use tablet salt for water softeners. The more common type is where salt is added to the swimming pool itself. In the UK we most commonly use PDV salt - that is Pure Dried Vacuum Salt or table salt. Granular salt for water softeners can be used. Tablet salt for water softeners should be avoided unless you have a white liner, because the tablets may bleach spots on the pool liner before dissolving. Julian Hobday of KindWater.
