well.. it depends.. if the crack was in the crown.. then a prep is done then a fixed crown is placed.. but if the crack extended to the root.. then the tooth will be indecated for extraction.

Can a root canal be done if the tooth is chipped?

Yes they can, they did on me.

What are consequences of getting your root canal therapy?

If your tooth needs a root canal and is not painful, then it must be a dead tooth. When a tooth is dead, it is a source of infection which is not good. It is possible that it could hurt in the future due to infection. Better to have the root canal done, because you're trying to save your tooth. If you don't have the root canal treatment done and your tooth continues to decay, the dentist might have to pull that tooth out in the future. Once you pull out your tooth, that's gone forever

What if you hada root canal butt you still have a lot of pain?

what could have happened is that the root canal was not done properly, or the tooth was so damaged that the root canal did not work. In this event, the tooth may have to be pulled (its what happened to me about a week ago)

A dental post is necessary when a root canal procedure has been done on a tooth that requires a crown. A build up is done on a tooth that needs a crown and has not had a root canal.

Can you have another root canal done on a tooth that's had a root canal done on it years ago?

It is possible to have more than one root canal treatment on a single tooth because some teeth do have two roots. The need for another root canal can occur within a few weeks of the original one or several years later

What can cause a cracked root?

If this tooth has become weakened, or if it is more brittle (such as post root canal) it is susceptible to a break at the root. You could have chewed something extra hard, or exposed the tooth to rapid temperature change. It means the tooth was in a weakened state to begin with.

I had a root canal done. but now i feel some pain on the tooth that is next to the tooth i had my root canal done.. is this normal?

Yes, this is very normal I can't remember what my dentist called it but she says its when one tooth has something done to it, automatically all the teeth around feel the pressure and strain. I had 4 root canals last week and at first I thought they had done a root canal to the tooth behind it also because it hurt so bad and all the sudden felt loose. They told me nothing had been done to it and that was perfectly normal and after like 2 days it went away.

What is d3330 root canal therapy?

that is a root canal of a molar tooth. Meaning the dentist is removing the nerve and pulp of the tooth.

Why do i need a root canal for a Cracked molar do i need root canal?

A cracked molar may require a root canal if the fracture extends into the pulp, where the nerves and blood vessels are located. This can lead to infection, pain, and further damage if not treated. A root canal removes the infected tissue, alleviates pain, and preserves the tooth, allowing it to function normally. If the crack is superficial and doesn’t affect the pulp, other treatments might be sufficient.
