Most zoos do not allow you to bring your pets on to the zoo grounds. But "certified service animals" are allowed at most, as long as they are properly leashed, or harnessed at all times, while on the zoo grounds. Also the owner is completely responsible for all care, and maintaining control of their "service animals". I would recommend you check with the specific zoo you are going to before you make your arrangements. For more details regarding rules for visiting zoos see sites listed.
Pets are not allowed at the Chester Zoo, however guide and sensory dogs are allowed. The Chester Zoo has over 11,000 animals and 422 species.
Are
no!
They do NOT allow dogs into the zoo, and highly recommend that you make other arrangements for your dogs, as they don't have kennel facilities on site. If You are traveling with pets in your car, take care of these arrangements before arriving at the zoo. Leaving pets, even for a short time in your car during warm weather, is strongly advised against, this can kill an animal very quickly. They do allow "assistance dogs", and remind their owners, they must be properly leashed at all times while on the zoo property. For more details, please see the site listed below.
