Some of them are yes. Others like the blue whale are by necessity models and others are preserved in alcohol (called the spirit collection).
However, of the stuffed specimens on display most were originally prepared many decades ago and the Museum doesn't have a policy to collect & prepare new specimens. For obvious reasons - wherever possible they prefer to conserve & repair current exhibits (even if that means that some fading)
