"Lake Havasu" means "Blue Lake" in Navajo. It refers to the lake that is formed by the Colorado River, enclosed in the South by Parker Dam and in the north by Hoover dam. The name was chosen by Robert McCulloch in the 1960's when he bought the London Bridge and moved it there piece-by-piece.
