Spanish missions ( which were run by the Franciscan Friars and Padres- naturally were church-oriented- so are most ( if only in name) of the major cities in California- from North ( San Francisco) to South ( Ciudad de Los Angeles- or is it Angeles perdidas ( lost angels- divvils, don"t you know) Most Spanish-Colonized cities ( and look at Santa Fe- lit- Holy Faith (yeah, living steel!) well literally under the Cross- , ATSF railway had a cruciform trade-mark!San Rafael expedition of l927- that"s something else- Follow the ships that call not back! It has never been as popular as, say the Titanic or even the Electra Project- both of which ended tragically Dig in to San Rafael!
