How did weather conditions help Moses cross the Red Sea?

The Bible presents the crossing of the Red Sea as a miracle, so we should not look for natural explanations that detract from that miracle. Either accept the biblical story as it stands, or look to scholars and scientists for the explanation of that story. And the explanation of scholars and scientists is simple - it did not happen. Israel Finkelstein says that over ninety per cent of scholars say that there was no Exodus from Egypt as described in the Bible. Either way, weather conditions have nothing to do with the story of Moses crossing the Red Sea.
The story of the Sea of Reeds, in which a wind is supposed to have parted the waters of a shallow waterway (not the Red Sea), is dubious at best, and merely a distraction.

When doing a miracle, God often chooses to employ "natural" phenomena to a greater or lesser degree. In the parting of the Sea, God created a powerful easterly wind (Exodus ch.14) to move the waters partially, before He completed the miracle of: walled waters precisely in front of the Israelites' location and precisely as Moses waved his arm,

dry ground on the seabed,

and the confusion, tumbling and drowning of Pharaoh's army.

Despite the wind, the event left no doubt in the Israelites' mind that it was an unparalleled manifestation of God's might.
