How do you build a mini Eiffel Tower using newspaper?

Newspaper is not the ideal construction material for building a mini Eiffel tower, but it could be done. Roll pieces of newspaper tightly and wrap them with tape; this will produce structural elements that can simulate structural steel beams. Then glue them together with any glue that will work, possibly rubber cement, goop is very nice. When it's all glued together you might want to spray it with paint, to improve the appearance.

Oh, do I have something delightful to share with you Paris lovers and francophiles! I was browsing at a charming little shop downtown the other day called European Papers and I came across a wonderful kit to make a miniature Eiffel Tower. I was charmed and immediately sold. The kit comes with a template printed onto the back of a reproduction collage sheet of various vintage French papers. It contains everything you need to make this darling Eiffel Tower shown, except that I traced the template onto Jenni Bowlin Papers and added the little wooden stick with the banner and the sparkle pom. It was quite easy and so fun to make, and in fact the top half is removable and contains a miniature box that sits atop the jewelry box base to add an extra treasure. I loved how it turned out! You can order this online from European Papers, the kit is $9.95 I believe. I made the banner using a shish kebab stick cut down to size and these darling labels from French General. Of course, the flip side of the banner says, "Je reve en francaise".
