it rains a lot because the trees get lots of water underground and the water is stored in the leaves of the trees. as the rain forest is in the tropical zone, it gets very hot. the water stored in the leaves evaporates through the stomata of the leaves. this makes lots of rain clouds on top. they all crash into each other and it finally starts raining.

so there you there you have it . this is why it rains a lot in the rain forest
