On average a Camel will live between 40 and 50 years. The extreme end of their lifespan in captivity is about 50 years, while a shorter lifespan is about 40 years. There is really no difference between the genders in relation to their lifespan. But there is a difference between the genders for maturity or breeding age. The average female Camel will become sexually mature at about 3 years old, while the male will become sexually mature on average at about 6 years of age.
