No one has every physically touched the bottom of the ocean -- the pressure at the deepest part would crush the human body and there are no dive suits that can withstand the pressure

That being said, on January 23, 1960 the US Navy submersible Trieste touched the bottom of the Marianas trench at a depth of 35,813ft (10,915.8 meters). Iacques Piccard and Lt. Don Walsh were in the Trieste. While on the bottom, the pressure on the hull was more than 8 tons per sq inch.
