Three men escaped in June of 1962:
Frank Lee Morris
John Anglin
Clarence Anglin
The escape from Alcatraz in 1962 involved three inmates: Frank Morris, John Anglin, and Clarence Anglin. They successfully escaped from the prison but were never found and presumed to have drowned in the waters surrounding the island.
Notwithstanding what you may read, there is no onewho was proven to have successfully escaped from Alcatraz. On June 11, 1962, Frank Morris, John Anglin and Clarence Anglinescaped the prison as the climax of a very elaborately conceived plan, but several investigations after the fact all came to the conclusion that they never made it to the mainland.
There was an "escape" attempt from Alcatraz on June 11, 1962 by 3 men. It is not technically an escape because the escapes are said to have died on the escape across the bay due to the freezing water, although there bodies have never been found. There is some who believe they did survive and just never were caught, but that hasn't been confirmed.
On May 23, 1938, a man named James "Whitey" Bulger attempted to escape from Alcatraz, but he was apprehended before successfully leaving the prison. Although not a successful escape, this event highlighted the ongoing attempts by inmates to flee the infamous facility. The most notable escape from Alcatraz occurred later, in June 1962, involving Frank Morris and the Anglin brothers.
That is one of life's mysteries. All we do know is that Morris, a career criminal, escaped from Alcatraz prison in 1962. Such an escape was dangerous, and also rarely successful; but in Morris's case, he was never seen again, nor was his body recovered. (Note that some people have claimed to see him since 1962, and various TV shows have advanced a number of unproven theories, but at this point, we still do not know with certainty what happened to him.)
Even though the 62' Escape trio was officially believed to have drowned, several factors have concluded that they could have survived. For example, in 1962, John Paul Scott escaped from the prison and swam successfully to the shore around Fort Point. Might I add that he nearly died from the severe shock from the cold water. He was later taken from the hospital and returned to Alcatraz. Also, in an episode of Myth Busters, it was confirmed that the party of 3 could successfully row a makeshift raft to the shores of the Marin Headlands. So yes, it is entirely possible that the escapees could have survived.
um im not sure that there was a prison in the makeing of fruits basket but i am not so sure myself yes i have watched the 26EP season one like 4 times i have spent all morning on all sorts of sites looking for the second season of fruits basket. I love fruits baskets
The inmate who famously escaped from Alcatraz was Frank Morris, along with brothers John and Clarence Anglin. In June 1962, they executed a daring escape plan that involved digging through the walls of their cells and using a raft made from raincoats to navigate the waters of San Francisco Bay. Their fate remains a mystery, as they were never found and are presumed to have drowned, although some theories suggest they may have survived. The escape is the subject of numerous books and a well-known film, "Escape from Alcatraz."
Yes, Frank Morris and the Anglin brothers, John and Clarence, are often referred to as the trio that escaped from Alcatraz in June 1962. They were not known as "weasel," but the escape was notable for its ingenuity, involving homemade rafts and dummy heads to fool guards. While their fate remains uncertain, they were never found, leading to speculation about whether they successfully escaped or perished in the waters of San Francisco Bay.

Both. "Alcatraz" was a now canceled 2012 television series starring Sarah Jones, Jorge Garcia, Parminder Nagra, Sam Neill. There are also films such as "Escape from Alcatraz" (1979) and "Birdman of Alcatraz" (1962).
John Paul, often confused with the infamous Alcatraz escapees, is not a widely recognized figure associated with the prison's escape history. The most famous escape from Alcatraz occurred in June 1962, when inmates Frank Morris and the Anglin brothers used improvised tools to dig through their cell walls, creating a raft from raincoats to flee.
