200 times more than the land surface
about each human can get about 2.7 pounds of gold
95% of the worlds gold comes from Africa
A whole lot! There is a huge quantity of gold is seawater. But it's distributed widely - across all the oceans of all the world - and is incorporated on the atomic level. That makes it very, very hard to separate out. No one has demonstrated that it can be done economically. The concentration of gold in seawater varies from place to place, and ranges between 5 to 50 ppt (about .005 to .05 tonnes (5 to 50 kg) per km3) Given that the volume of all the seas is about 1.37 billion km3 The total amount of gold in all the seas is about 7 to 75 billion kg.
eight
A cubic mile of seawater contains approximately 0.004 parts per million of gold, which translates to about 0.000006 grams of gold per liter. Given that there are about 4.2 billion liters in a cubic mile, this results in roughly 7,000 grams, or about 15.4 pounds, of gold in a cubic mile of seawater. However, extracting this gold is currently not economically viable due to the low concentration.
because its the ocean ;D
Well here is one resource that pirates would have loved. There is GOLD in the ocean. In fact there is so much gold in the oceans that everyone in the world would get a fair share of it.
as per findings only 3 % of the total available water in earth is drinkable. 97% is either seawater or non potable
There is more oxygen in seawater. Seawater contains around 5 to 10 milligrams of oxygen per liter, while the concentration of oxygen in the air is about 210 milligrams per liter. However, the total amount of oxygen in the oceans is much higher due to their vast volume.
Approximately 97% of Earth's water is found in the oceans as saltwater, while only about 3% is fresh water. Of the fresh water, the majority is locked up in glaciers and ice caps, with a much smaller proportion found in groundwater, lakes, and rivers.
As PURE sodium, practically none. But a good part of all sodium in the world is in the oceans- in the form of sodium chloride- salt. The total amount would be in the billions of tons. Seawater is about 3.5% salt.
It is not known how much of the plastic in the world ends up in the ocean. The oceans are becoming more polluted with various types of debris and trash.
