Panama Canal :)
The Panama Canal connects the Pacific Ocean, and the Atlantic Ocean by way of the Caribbean Sea.
A boat traveling from the Pacific to the Atlantic via the Panama Canal would be traveling northwest. Although the Pacific Ocean is west of the Atlantic Ocean in Central America, at Panama the Caribbean Sea arm of the Atlantic is to the north, and the Pacific to the south. Canal builders took advantage of natural lakes and valleys, so the actual orientation of the canal is NW to SE. (see linked map) Going from the Atlantic (Caribbean Sea) to the Pacific, ships travel to the southeast.
The canal is in Panama, a country in Central America. It connects the Caribbean Sea, and the Pacific Ocean. If it were not there, your ship would have to go through the Strait of Magellan, near Antarctica.
The Panama Canal separates North and South America. In reality, they are considered the same continent in many respects. In a similar fashion, the Suez Canal separates Africa from the Eurasia Continent.
It links the Pacific Ocean to the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
The Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean (Atlantic Ocean). The Pacific entrance/exit is actually farther East than the Atlantic entrance/exit.
A ship sails southeast when traveling through the Panama Canal from the Caribbean to the Pacific Ocean. Going from the Pacific to the Atlantic, ships travel to the northwest.
Atlantic ocean (Caribbean sea) and Pacific ocean via the panama canal
The Atlantic Ocean is connected to the Pacific Ocean through a narrow canal called the Panama Canal. From the Caribbean Sea on the Atlantic side, the canal cuts through Panama, to the Pacific Ocean.
The Panama Canal joins bodies of water, it does not separate them. The two bodies in question are The Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.
Panama is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Panama, and Caribbean Sea.
