Athens,.Georgia is an amazing place to live. I was born and raised. You can live in Athens, or live on the outskirts in Oconee County, Jackson County or Madison County. All within 20 to 30 minutes. The schools are good in Jackson and Oconee, if you have kids. Athens has so much to do, great shopping, restaurants, and events. Its the South, so people are friendly and you will feel right at home.
