Whilst the ride experience of both rides is somewhat similar, (in that they are both 'inverted sit down' roller-coasters), there are several differences in the ride layout making them very different rides in reality. Nemesis Inferno at Thorpe Park is simply based on the popular Nemesis at Alton Towers's theme.
If you are asking did Nemesis at Alton Towers come before Nemesis Inferno at Thorpe Park, then yes, Alton Towers had the first Nemesis. There is also now a new attraction at the park, Nemesis Sub-Terra - based around the Nemesis Legend.

Nemesis at alton towers
Well, Alton Is better for theming and adventure, and the range of rides arent as intense as Thorpe Park. Thorpe Is better for thrill seekers 10+ as Very Intense Rides are dotted all over the park. So really, If theme parks are for Adventure and THRILL, My Opinion is Thorpe Park.
no it is really crap nemesis is much better
Nemesis opened at Alton Towers on March 19, 1994. It was one of the world's first inverted roller coasters and quickly became a signature attraction for the theme park. The ride is known for its intense drops and unique layout, which includes several inversions and a thrilling experience through an underground section. Nemesis remains a popular choice for thrill-seekers visiting Alton Towers.
