Inevitably, the Yellowstone caldera will explode as a supervolcano. Whether that will happen soon is unlikely.
Yes, the when is likely not soon enough for it to be an issue for you (soon is 500 years in geographic time)
The Yellowstone volcano is not just a volcano - it is a supervolcano. Geologists maintain there have been no eruptions for tens of thousands of years. It is constantly releasing pressure, although it appears the ground levels due to the movement of magma have risen several centimetres in the last century. However, despite scientists believing that a major eruption is well overdue, it currently shows no signs of an imminent major eruption.
Yellowstone National Park sits on top of a volcano caldera, approximately 28x47 miles across, formed by a hot spot (a crack in the earth's crust which brings magma up to the surface), a result of the forming of the Rocky Mountains about 50 million years ago. Geysers are a result of groundwater which is being heated by the magma underground and then, when the heat and pressure are too great, explode in an amazing display of water and steam. About 53% of the world's geysers are located in Yellowstone National Park. Other thermal features in Yellowstone include fumeroles (mostly steam, little water), hot springs, and mudpots.
First entry - It comes from having poor hearing. The saying. Whatever 'Trips your trigger', is where it comes from. And it implies exactly how it reads - Trigger, referring to the trigger on a gun. And to Trip, as in pull the trigger. It can be seen as one who gets too excited and pulls the trigger on the gun too soon. Thus, Trip your Trigger asking, Is this exciting enough to get your full attention!
Not enough information
Most of the Yellowstone Caldera is no hotter than you would expect from weather in that climate zone. The caldera does contain many hot springs, and geysers, some of which are hot enough to boil water.
Funnily enough, they are called a starter.
depends. for the nite finder pull the trigger but not enough to shoot it.
Enough to fill up an area three times the size of New York city.
The main difference between the two is size. Supervolcanoes are normally 30 times stronger that a regular volcano and can produce enough ash to cover the world. A supervolcano is a VEI8, and ejects over 1 trillion tons of material. Also, supervolcanoes don't have the cone shape.

Yes, a day is enough for Yellowstone National Park. I recently went on a day trip with my family and we were able to see some (and plenty in our opinion) of everything the park has to offer. These are my 5 recommended stops:1. West Thumb Geyser Basin2. Old Faithful Geyser3. Mammoth Hot Springs4. Canyon Village5. Dragon's Mouth Cave
