Yes, erosion at Stockton Beach is far worse than at Newcastle Beach.
Basically, the reason for this is because Newcastle Beach can easily replenish its sand via longshore drift and other natural processes. At Stockton, sand is reducing because the Breakwall at Nobby's has created a barrier, therefore preventing Stockton from replenishing its sand through natural processes.
The Newcastle Council is trying to fix this problem, but they cannot simply remove the Breakwall because it is vital for the Coal ports and harbour. Some management strategies include dredging the sand from the harbour, building artificial headlands or artificial reefs, but all of these processes are expensive and time consuming.

Erosion is worse when farms are in areas with high rainfall or severe drought.
Farming can contribute to erosion by removing vegetation that helps stabilize soil and expose it to wind and water erosion. Over tilling of soil also disrupts soil structure and can increase erosion rates. Implementing practices like conservation tillage and cover cropping can help reduce erosion on farmlands.
Yes, depending on the beach's regulations. However the water might make any mats on your bichon worse, and sand is a mess to wash out of their coat (I've had plenty of experience with that and it's not fun).
Virginia Beach gets quite cold during the winter time. It can get down into the forties, and can be very windy which makes it worse. I wouldn't visit if you are looking for a warmer climate.
No, wind erosion typically does not create potholes. Potholes are primarily formed by water seeping into cracks in pavement, freezing and expanding, then thawing and causing the pavement to break apart. Wind erosion can contribute to the wear and tear of roads, but it is not a common cause of potholes.
Plants hold the soil in place and trees act as a wind break. In a field there are very little trees and soil can be blown around.

There was a large number of men without jobs in the north east of England in the depression. The Jarrow March was a protest at the unemployment of these people. Jarrow is a suburb of Newcastle on Tyne. They marched on the 'Jarrow Crusade' to Parliament, in London, in 1936. Jarrow is not a suburb of Newcastle. It is approximately ten miles away from Newcastle and on the South side of the river Tyne. Newcastle is on the North Side of the river Tyne. Jarrow is in South Tyneside. At the time of the depression Jarrow suffered from 70% unemployment along with a few other areas but much worse that the rest of the country.

Depending on where in Anaheim - about an hour. AND that depends on Traffic. Worse case - take Harbor to PCH and hang a left and follow PCH to Laguna Beach. And it is PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) not THE PCH. Heard someone on TV say THE PCH in a show recently and knew they were not from Orange County :)
2374 men from multiple military units died on Omaha Beach on D Day. A total of approximately 4000 men were killed on D-Day (including the Paratroopers). It got worse the next day as they had to get through the hedgerows.
