The mythical "Lost City Of Gold" is based on a rumor of a man , a native American man (a king), who is said to have dipped himself in gold dust and dove into pure mountain waters. The Man of Gold or " El Dorado" started to become viewed or imagined as a place, an empire, a golden city for the golden man, rather than what the name really means, which is "Man of Gold". So as of today, I don't believe that there is any solid proof to there being a real "City of Gold" just the assumption, that a man or king of gold must rule over a city or empire made of gold also.
Found my answers on Wikipedia, this is fascinating literature, and truly keeps you wondering if it is merely myth or is there a real lost city of gold out there for someone to find.
:)
The website abovetopseceret.com has a great page My Grand Canyon Theory. Anunaki link A MUST SEE! read to the bottom and it will tell of the underground caves and hopi Indian tribe protecting the Egyptian gold in the Canyon it's a great article posted under conspiracy theory's. Also the video by David Hatcher Childress (Egyptian caverns in the Grand Canyon is fascinating) these things also tie to Coronado the Spanish that came for the seven lost cities of gold. also fact: gold is the number one shield of radiation and the number one conductor of electricity so why do you think the Egyptians were mining for gold even in America!
