Everything that is released by the oceans is returned to the oceans via all channels, which includes fresh water lakes and rivers. This is what keeps salt water balanced. Unless there is an "alien from space" adding salt to our oceans, no they can't get to salty for life. Our world contains a finite measure of salt.
