Yes there are trilobite's located on the shores of Lake Erie. Lake Erie was once covered by salt water (the ocean) and much of the shores between Fort Erie and Port Colborne are covered in fossilized ocean bottom. We're talking long before dinosaurs, I think the fossils are 200m to 400m years old. Upper-Devonian & Cabrian period, when critters had yet to live on land.
I comb the beach often looking for fossils. You'll find lots of corals, tube worms, and other non-vertibrates. I found a fossilized snail once, in perfect condition in the rock, and I just recently found a trilobite. Picture attached. There are better pictures on the web, but this one is mine!
