Shanghai, Hu for short. Originated in the rivers, first appeared in the Northern Song Dynasty records, the ship transferred from the south tributary of Songjiang Shanghai Pu entrance, and this place become riverbank settlement, this place is called Shanghai Town (上海镇) in the Song Dynasty, till Yuan Dynasty Shanghai is called Shanghai County (上海县), it was changed Shanghai City (上海市) in 1930 till now.
