In a form of creek or stream
A river.
A stream changes by joining larger bodies of water as it makes it way to the ocean. It begins at the headwaters and then into a tributary river, a river delta, and then to the ocean.
A moving stream of water in the ocean
The stream of water which flows like a river through the ocean is a current. The Gulf Stream is the most significant such current which flows from the tropics to the northern latitudes.
The Gulf Stream is located in the Atlantic Ocean. This stream is very powerful, warm, and moves very quickly. It follows alongside the eastern coastline.
I was told it was an "exotic stream."
