Orient is located on the French side of the island. It is long, arching and quite pretty. Because it is French, it also is clothing optional.
Great Bay Beach is located on Great Bay, which is the located at the cruise port of Philipsburg.
Anyone visiting by cruise can simply step off the ship and walk a few hundred yards to the beach.
The beach is not so much pretty like Orient as it is convenient. It is located right by the Philipsburg boardwalk and only a block from the main shopping district. There are plenty of restaurants right there.
