What are the disadvantages of the Great Wall of China?

The dangers of building the Great Wall of China were that the workers died of starvation and attacks from wild animals. Other dangers were that the Mongols would do random attacks and rocks would fall on the workers. Some workers may have died of exhaustion. Another danger was that they would get fatal diseases.

This is only a guess but many people may have died simply from exhaustion from extremely hard labor in unsafe working conditions. Poor food could also have caused them to be under-nourished. As a consequence many wall-builders may have died from deadly infections because their bodies were not able to fight off diseases as well as healthy bodies can do. :D EC
