No. They are very common, and can be bought for about $15 at a local pet store. This is not true... they are not very common endangered applies to whats in the wild not whats captive bred for the pet trade. I.e i can still buy axolotls yet they are at risk of extinction in the wild due to the lakes they live in disappearing
