What are the uses of river Ganges?

They use it to take a bath ,and to remove their sins, and they lit a funeral pyre to remove their sins also. People also drink it although sometimes it can cause illnesses because the water is contaminated.

Some of the uses of the Ganges River are ritual bathing and irrigation. Some people use it to relax and pray. I have seen a picture of someone meditating by the river ganges on a picture gallery.

They use it to bath in and wash themselves. Put dead bodies in and ashes from dead people. They also use it to go to the toilet and for drinking! :|

the local people around the Ganges use it for going to the toilet in and trasport and drinking the water it can effect them and they can become ill but it is the only water they have.
