There is NO man-made body of water that connects the Red Sea and Persian Gulf. In order to get from one to the other, you go: Red Sea, Bab al-Mandeb, Gulf of Aden, Arabian Sea, Gulf of Oman, Strait of Hormuz, Persian Gulf. All of those bodies of water are natural.
The Red Sea is the body of water that separates India from Africa and Arabian peninsula. The Mandab Strait is also part of that body of water.

The Persian Gulf is the biggest body of water touching the Arabian Peninsula. The Res Sea also touches this peninsula.
The Arabian Peninsula connects Asia to Africa. It is located in southwest Asia and is bordered by the Red Sea to the west and the Arabian Sea to the south.
The Gulf of Arabia is directly North of Muscat and Oman.
The large body of water southeast of the fertile crescent is the Persian Gulf.
