To help reduce pollution in the Ganges River, effective waste management systems must be implemented to treat industrial and sewage waste before it enters the river. Increasing community awareness and involvement in conservation efforts can promote responsible practices among local residents. Additionally, strengthening regulations and enforcing penalties for polluters can deter harmful activities. Investing in clean-up initiatives and promoting sustainable agricultural practices in surrounding areas will also contribute to the river's restoration.
It doesn't help you, the Ganges is a very filthy river. Stay out of it!
The Ganges and the Indus river
maybe they water their plants with the water as it is in a plentiful supply
There are a few things that can be done to help or resolve the problem of air pollution. Using electric cars, carpooling, and reducing the amount of chemicals that are burned will help reduce air pollution.
The Ganges River has unique properties that contribute to its relatively high levels of water quality. It possesses natural antimicrobial properties, largely due to the presence of certain bacteria and minerals that help break down organic waste. Additionally, the river's flow and the sediment it carries help dilute pollutants. However, despite these qualities, pollution remains a significant challenge, and efforts are ongoing to protect and restore the river's health.
Ganga is a Rastafarian term for marijuana. I think you mean the river Ganges in India. Please reword and repost your question.
It has the Ganges and Indus River that help the people of India a lot. But, It also has high temperature that does not and it only gets rain in the Summer monsoons which comes in the summer.
The main contributor to increasing pollution level in Ganga river is the sewage water which is disposed directly in to ganga without proper treatment.one f the best way to control pollution in ganga can be effective treatment of all the wastewater before they enter the holy river.Improvement in the funtioning of the sewage treatment plants could be a great help as most of the sewage treatment plants fail to meet their standards as described by Centre for pollution control board(CPCB0.Another possible method can be diversion of the water in drains in to various ponds where the sewage water gets treated before it enters the river. These ponds may be oxidation ponds, ponds with various microorganisms which can feed upon the waste in the sewage water to reduce the sewage load and ponds with aborbing plantations of pollution absorbing plants etc.
Conserve the Ganges River - The Ganges river has been considered one of the dirtiest rivers in the world. The extreme pollution of the Ganges affects 400 million people who live close to the river. The river waters start getting polluted right at the source. As it flows through highly populous areas the Ganges collects large amounts of human pollutants, e.g., Schistosoma Masoni and faecal coliforms and drinking and bathing in its waters therefore carries a high risk of infection. Along the 4 miles (6.4 kilometres) stretch of terraced bathing ghats in the holy city of Varanasi, the water of the Ganges is a "brown soup of excrement and industrial effluents." The water there contains 60,000 faecal coliform bacteria per 100 ml, 120 times the official limit of 500 faecal coliforms/100ml that is not considered safe for bathing. And you want to conserve this mess of a river. You should put your efforts towards cleaning the river of its extreme pollution so Indians can be very proud of it again.
Yes, the so-called "HOLY'" Ganges is very dirty because all of the drainage and sewage of all of the cities through which this river passes, goes into this river. People wash their clothes in this and even dead bodies are just floated in this river, which later rot and give off a foul smell. The government has wasted millions of rupees to clean it, but no cleaning will help unless the above is stopped.
Yes , in India they are placed in the Ganges river to help dispose of corpses placed there according to Indian 'burial' practises .
The Salt River Project, or SRP, is a project funded by Arizona to help utilize the water from their Salt River to help power turbines for electricity. Since this is water power - there is no pollution and no danger of hurting the salinity of the river.
