The Luxo lamp is the internationally recognised desk lamp made famous as the mascot for Pixar animation studios. The Luxo website boast that the Luxo L1 (the classic model of 1937)is the original "architect" lamp. This however means very little as the design was copied from the original British "Anglepoise" lamp designed by George Corwardine in 1933 and produced by Terry Lighting (now Anglepoise).
