What is the difference between a zoo animal and a wild animal?

The difference is a zoo diet is watched over. They have zoo keepers to watch over their diets and make sure they get the nutrition they need. While wild life eat whatever they can and monitor nothing. They have no one to watch over them or make sure they get whatever it is they need.

A zoo animal, is a wild animal or exotic animal that has been born and raised in a zoo, or some other establishment, where it has been helped by hand since birth, handled, or socialized by vet staff, keepers, and others, tending to it's care, health, and well being, but it is still wild, not domesticated. The wild animal is just that a wild animal, born in the wild where it lives out it's life, unless injury or sickness brings it into contact with humans. Then it might be moved into a rescue center, and depending on it recovery and rarity, it might wind up in a zoo. It's mainly a distinction in the where and how of it's maturation. It is still the same wild animal.
