I am sorry but neither the Nile is the longest river in the world reaching to4,135 miles long! the Mississippi is the 4th longest reaching 3,870 miles! And the Amazon is the widest: 330 kilometres! Mississippi is about 20-30 feet wide. PS: Did you know as time goes on rivers run deeper and deeper into the earth? That's how the grand canyon was created! (I figured that out myself I did not study it!)
The Nile River in Egypt, being the longest river on the Earth, is exactly 6,650 kilometers, or 4,132 miles in length. This is right ahead of the Amazon river, and then the Mississippi River in terms of length.

The longest time zone difference between two locations on Earth is 26 hours.
The longest river is stated to be the River Nile which is 6670 km. The largest river by sheer volume is the Amazon River. However, new measurements may make the Amazon River the longest as it is estimated that it is now over 6700 km. GeoSurveys are still being conducted and no time has been advised of when this will be officially ratified
