One extremely unusual feature of the ancient Greek Parthenon is the columns. They are not built running on a 180 degree angle. The columns are "curved" as the best way to describe them. This makes the building look larger than it is.

imagine the british museum but a lot bigger and a lot more impressive. although now it is crumbling apart and doesn't look nearly as impressive as it would have done when it was built. also the columns in front of it were built using the golden ratio.
this word refers to a kind of construction mainly built in gardens, they might look like buildings but they don't have a particular purpose like a building as being a shelter. their just built there to grab the attention.
