King William I (William the conqueror) didn't only build one castle, he built many castles all over England. Here is a list of just a few castles he built back in the 11th century:

  • Warwick Castle
  • Lincoln castle
  • Dover castle
  • Rochester castle

There were many more castles that were built by King William during his reign which ended in 1087.

Yes and Ripley castle was one of those but William did not live in Ripley castle because it to near Harogate.
