there are two paintings (as far as I know) of Marc Chagall with the Eiffel tower: les mariés de la Tour Eiffel (the newlyweds of the Eiffel tower) and Paris par la fenêtre (Paris through the window). None has a French flag, but the second one has a man-faced cat sitting on the window sill.
