Pretty much the same. Salty and wet. The temperature of the water on the west coast is pretty much like the temperature in the Northeast US. The Atlantic has the Gulfstream which is a warm sea current that travels northward along the coast from below Florida up to the Outter Banks of North Carolina where it meets the Southern flowing and colder Labrador current. These currents meet at Diamond Shoals in Buxton NC, The water temperature south of the shoals is warmer than the water north of the shoals.

Where does most rainfall occur in the eastern coast or western coast?

Most rainfall typically occurs on the western coast of continents, particularly in regions influenced by prevailing winds and ocean currents. The western coasts of continents, like the Pacific Northwest of the United States, often experience orographic lift, where moist air rises over mountains, leading to increased precipitation. In contrast, eastern coasts may have drier conditions, although this can vary based on specific geographic and climatic factors. Overall, the western coast tends to receive more consistent and abundant rainfall.
