Yellowstone National Park is more than 2.2 million acres The biggest State Park in Alaska is the Wood-Tikchik State Park, wihch is 1.6 million acres. I am not sure which Alaska State Park is the 2nd largest, but the 3rd largest is the Chugach State Park. However, Alaska does have a "National" Forest that is larger than Yellowstone National Park. The Chugach National Forest is 5.4 million acres. Alaska'a Denali National Park is 6 million acres, Wrangel-St. Elias National Park is 13 million acres, Noatak National Preserve is 5.8 million acres.
In terms of size, it is smaller than Denali, Wrangell-Saint Elias, Lake Clark, Glacier Bay, Katmai, and Death Valley. All but the last are in Alaska.
