The Sidu River Bridge in the province of Hubei lays claim to being the tallest in the world based on the height of its deck. The deck height is 1,627 feet, but its towers are not structurally taller than other bridges. A bridge that fits both the structural height as well as deck height is the Millau Viaduct. Its deck is 890 feet and the tallest of its towers are 1,125 feet.
It's a late nineteenth century Bascule - twin leaf at that. It is a sort of prefabricated Suspension bridge with the bascule machinery in the towers for the two folding leaves. This is a description of Tower Bridge - not London Bridge. ' It's also not a suspension bridge. A suspension bridge has a deck suspended from cables, and cannot be opened. The rest of the technical description is correct.
It was never intended to have an actual function, just to be something spectacular (tallest building in the world) for the gateway to the 1889 International Exhibition. It should have been demolished, but was saved by the invention of radio and now functions as a TV and communications tower as well as a tourist attraction.

To deck a Strat bridge, you can adjust the bridge's height and angle to improve the guitar's playability and tuning stability. This involves tightening the screws on the bridge plate to lower it closer to the guitar body, ensuring it sits flat against the body. This can help improve the guitar's overall performance and feel.
Hurricane Deck Bridge was created in 1936.

At midspan, the height of the top of the roadway surface is +270.9 feet Mean Lower Low Water, which is the average of the lower low water height of each tidal day observed over the National Tidal Datum Epoch. At the south abutment of the Bridge, the height of the top of roadway surface is +186.5 feet. The difference, equalling the rise in elevation as you travel across the Bridge roadway, is +84.4 feet. These data are from the most recent survey done in 1992.

The main cables are strung with vertical cables that attach to the deck. These cables support the deck of the bridge, transferring the weight to the towers at the end. The main cables continue past the tower, and are anchored past the far ends of the bridge. They are carefully balanced so that the force pulling inward on the towers is equal to the force pulling outward. As a result, the weight pulls directly down into the base of the tower. The towers can be fairly thin, since they aren't being pulled to either side. The deck can also be thin, since it is being supported by the cables.
