Temperate rainforests are typically found in mountainous regions, often along coastal areas. The topography contributes to the unique climate, with mountains creating conditions that promote high levels of precipitation. This results in lush vegetation and diverse ecosystems, as the elevation influences temperature and moisture levels. While some areas may have flat terrain, the defining characteristics of temperate rainforests are closely tied to their mountainous environments.

I believe you mean ''temperate''... ? A temperate rain forest is a rain forest in a cooler climate compared to a rainforest in the tropics (near the equator). I believe the only temperate rain forest (or only rain forest for that matter) is the Hoh Rain Forest in Washington, USA. hope that helps
