The traditional Irish Beret is called the Caubeen. The Donegal is another distinctly Irish cap worn by men, which goes by many other names in other parts of the world, such as newsboy in the United States, but the traditional Irish version is made of Wool Tweed. There is also the Irish Donegal Tweed Hat, which bears no resemblance the the cap version, save for being constructed of the same material. There are of course many variations of these basic types, and some others I have not covered yet, but these are the "Big 3" if you will.
