There are sea fossils at the top of the canyon from the seas that once covered the low plains there.
The fossils found at the top of a canyon will probably be younger than those at the of the bottom of the canyon because the fossils at the bottom of the canyon would have been there earlier when the so called "canyon" was once a flat land, so as time went by, the flat land began growing and getting taller and finally became a canyon so the fossils at the top of the canyon WOULD be younger than those at the bottom because the bottom fossils were there before the top of the canton even existed.
The rim...
The rock formations at the bottom are older.
There are two reasons why the lodging to the Grand Canyon is found at the top. First and foremost, it is logistically more convenient as more tourists visit the top than the bottom. Additionally, in the summer months, the bottom of the canyon can be much more warm in temperature, which could be dangerous for employees and/or lodgers.
The material eroded from the Grand Canyon was deposited on a plain. Over many years, water eroded the plain creating a canyon later known as the Grand Canyon. The water kept weathering down the rocks until it came down to a lower level way below the top of the Grand Canyon. That is why today we have a higher and lower part of the Grand Canyon. Overall, the Grand Canyon started out as a plain and as many years passed water weathered down the rocks.

The top of Pikes Peak. The bottom of the Grand Canyon.
I can recall Grand Canyon (Arizona) off the top of my head.
Well the newest rocks are always on the top or on the most visible place - normally top or closest to the side somewhere. The newer rocks never are at the bottom of a rock, cave, or canyon
Leashed pets are allowed on the trails along the top of the south rim of the canyon, in some of the campgrounds, and in Trailer Village. Pets are not allowed below the rim in the inner canyon.
The flat tops of the Grand Canyon were formed through millions of years of erosion by water and ice. The Colorado River and its tributaries gradually carved through the rock layers, creating the wide, flat plateau at the top of the canyon. The process of erosion continues to shape the canyon's landscape today.
YO mama is so fat she fell in the Grand Canyon and got stuck
