However, something I plan on looking into in the future when I have had dealings with the AZA is http://www.alligatorfarm.us/scholarship.html which really is something more to strengthen your resume, and only zookeepers know how competitive it can get. Also, though it's not available to most because of travel constraints, I've been planning on attending Moorpark College because of their EATM (Exotic Animal Training and Management) program, specifically designed for zookeepers. I'm sure this hasn't been a lot of help, but your best chance is to look for scholarships that apply to your other abilities.

First at all you have to be an athlete, and that requires recognition of some kind. Your school counselor can assist you with options available if your stats comply with the requirements to obtain a scholarship.
Keeper simply means that it's big enough to keep (and eat) as opposed to being thrown back in.
If you are employed, you might also want to check with your employer to find out if the company offers any kind of scholarships to its employees. Also, don��t lock yourself into only applying for the larger scholarships. You might be able to receive more than one scholarship! Scholarships are not always large amounts so you might be able to receive two or three smaller scholarships that when combined add up to make enough to pay for tuition.
