The treetops in forests are good places for animals to make home as they are usually quite dense so they can hide. It is also a good place for animals to live as it keeps them safe from ground dwelling predators such as tigers. Also the treetops often have the best fruit, as ground dwelling creatures can't get at it ( such as the tapier). If the creature has any off-spring, living in the treetops can be a big advantage as there are very few, if any, predators that can access there (except of course the snake). the proper name for the treetops is called the canopy layer. hope this helps :)
