Sun screen and lots of it. Apply more often than what is recomended. We bought a canopy to use this year. A well stocked first aid kit for cuts, scrapes and maybe jelly fish stings. Maybe water shoes incase the shore line is rough. I think the most important thing is to learn about the dangers of the ocean, mainly rip tides. Learn how to spot them and how to get out of them. I got sucked into one several years ago and had to be saved by a life gaurd. After much studying on them I always scan the water now before I decide on a place to set up for beach fun with the kids. Have Fun !!
