A small pack of rations to share with your little sis.
umm i think it is for when you run out of food and really need rations you would get it from there.
Mostly they would carry a shovel for digging trenches their rations and their rifles. They would also carry a wire cutter.
The soldiers and aviators, airmen and parachute jumpers did use D-rations for emergency purposes so they would keep up their blood glucose. The D-Rations consisted of chocolate bars, candy, vitamins and gum. The men said they were real life savers on the long hours in the planes and when they ran out of K-rations. Some of the airmen would also grab sandwiches from the mess hall to use with the D-rations. Some managed to get thermoses of coffee too.
yes assuming they had the required rations, though there probally would have been more efficient receipes to cook.
not alot i guess
So there would be more food to go around as there were shortages due to food not being able to be transported to different countries.
They dont think it would help them win the WWI but because they had rations it would save them money this could mean they could spend more on weapons e.c.t
Fighting in World War I would have been very dirty, bloody, and brutal. It would have been common to have few rations, and to be terrified constantly of being shot, gassed, or blown up. Furthermore, diseases and illnesses, like trenchfoot, were a very serious problem.
This work was completely voluntary but if you did not participate, you rations would be cut in half.
an astronaut would simply take rations for the number of days he would go to space
you would become rather close to your family or pets
