ancient Egypt could not have existed without the river Nile. Since rainfall is almost non-existent in Egypt, the floods provided the only source of moisture to sustain crops. Every year, heavy summer rain in the Ethiopian highlands, sent a torrent of water that overflowed the banks of the Nile. This left thick rich mud (black silt) which was excellent soil to plant seeds in. The ancient Egyptians could grow crops only in the mud left behind when the Nile flooded. So they all had fields all along the River Nile. Reeds, called papyrus, grew along side the Nile and were used to make paper and boats from the reeds. The Nile also gave the ancient Egyptians food. They used spears and nets to catch fish. Another way the Nile helped was transport as it was the quickest and easiest way to travel or move goods from place to place. Now days you can add tourism and hydro-electricity to the list.
because they get water from nile river...haha
it had alot of resources and more
Pyramids were built next to the Nile because the river provided the necessary resources for construction, such as water for the workers, transportation of heavy stones, and fertile land for growing food to sustain the workforce. Additionally, the Nile's flooding provided a natural barrier and protection for the pyramids.
What important resources did the nile provide settlers
-The Nile River provided perfect transportation for traveling. -When the Nile River flooded, it left back very fertile land, which was great for farming. -The Nile River was salt water, so it provided great food (fish) for eating.

Hunter-gatherers likely settled in the Nile Valley due to the fertile land, abundance of water from the Nile River, and availability of resources for food and shelter. The river provided a reliable source of water for farming, which allowed them to transition from a nomadic lifestyle to settled agriculture.
