I went to Alton Towers on Thursday 6th October 2011. The rides that are open at 9am are - Sharkbait Reef, Marauder's Mayhem, Heave Ho, Runaway Mine Train, Nemesis, Rita, Oblivion and Hex
Alton Towers has selected children's rides open for winter. The theme park closed in November 2011, and will reopen on 24th March 2012.
Alton Towers became a theme park in 1980, but the towers were there for a lot longer before that.
Thirteen opened in March 2010, so if you have not been on it already and want to experience it get to Alton Towers!
It normally opens at about 10am to 7pm...
1980- Alton tower itself dates back to around the 8th century. Its gardens were restore thought the late 1900's but it was in 1980 that the idea of a theme park took off. http://www.funtrivia.com/en/Entertainment/Alton-Towers-6287.html
Technically, it opens 1 hour early for some guests but 5 coasters are run for the hour. Then all the other rides open. So no, rides are always running when the park is open.
Acording to my iPod touch its about 308.6 KM that's 3 hours and 37 minutes on a open road doing 30-40 MPH
well, the park(like the play areas with slides and childrens sand)is open all day, everyday. the paddling pool is only open in the early summer from 11-4 and the museum times vary. there is also crazy golf which is open nearly every weekend 11-4. the kids rides(dodgems and other rides) open in early summer fromm 10-5.
The park reopens 14th Feb for a week, for half term, however a website revealed that not all of the park may be open, think they are refurbing or something. Although, it fully reopens 28th March.
7:00 is the time at which Marlow Towers pool is open.
If you stay at the marina, have an early bird pass, have a platinum pass, or stay at a resort, you can get in an hour early. GateKeeper, Ocean Motion, Midway Carousel, Raptor, Millennium Force, Iron Dragon, Maverick and Planet Snoopy open 1 hour early.
yes all rides are still working
