The Mississippi River

Mississippi River, and it is the Gulf of Mexico, not golf.
The Mississippi river starts in northern Minnesota, at lake Itasca. Then it flows south and empties into the Gulf of Mexico. (It is debated if the Mississippi runs into the Missouri river or if the Missouri runs into the Mississippi river.)

The river that flows into the Gulf of Mexico through Galveston Bay is the Trinity River. It is one of the longest rivers in Texas and drains a large portion of East Texas before emptying into Galveston Bay, which then connects to the Gulf. The river plays a key role in the region's ecology and economy.

Mexico's northern border is America, however the Rio Grande river runs along the border. There is the gulf of Mexico to the east, and the gulf of California and the Pacific Ocean to the west.
The Mississippi River empties into the Gulf of Mexico. Its source is Lake Itasca, in Itasca State Park, Clearwater County, Minnesota. The main source is in Northern Minnesota, and it empties into the Gulf of Mexico. The Mississippi River rises out of Lake Itasca in northern Minnesota and flows southward for 2,320 miles to the Mississippi River Delta at the Gulf of Mexico.
