Lake Superior
Lake Superior is the largest of all the Great Lakes. It is bordered by Minnesota, Ontario, Wisconsin, and Michigan. It is the largest freshwater lake in the world based on surface area.
There are thousands of lakes in America. The largest of these lakes are: Lake Superior, Lake Huron, Lake Michigan, Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, and the Great Salt Lake.
Lake Ontario is the largest water body that is entirely in Canada. There are bigger lakes in the Great Lakes region, but these all have part of them in other places like Wisconsin and Minnesota.
