People would starve to death because they bathe, drink, clean, and eat from the Nile. They use the Nile in their everyday and think of how it would be without it.The Nile is a precious gift given to them that they wish to use all the time.So what would Egypt do without the Nile River?
In short, the answer is No. The Nile existed because the annual Inundation each year. The annual Inundation being cause by the snow-melts in spring on the African Alps. The annual Inundation provided deposition of silt, enabling agriculture and crops. As well as that, it also provided water via irrigation. Everything in ancient Egypt was indirectly affected by the geographical features, otherwise better known as the Nile. The surplus of food received from the agriculture then enable trade with other countries, for more required materials. These materials consisting from fine ebony woods, to tin and copper for making weapons and armour. This trade then also enabled transportation, creating a division of labour in a sense. The Nile also provided waste disposal and bettered hygiene majorly. It also provided bathing for the poor, which otherwise could of caused an outbreak of a contagious disease, as the one seen in the 14Th century otherwise known as the Black Death. However, this was not the case, and rather it enabled few deaths and a larger population. A larger population meant that it created a larger work force enabling larger building projects, such as the pyramids of Giza. This then allowing the Ancient Egyptians civilization to advance.
